What started with 5 kids in their home grew — first into The Learning Tree at Oak Park, and in July 2021 the Cross family opened The Learning Tree at Little Flower. Susan and Kevin built it to give Minot families a place they'd actually trust with their own.
Our mission:to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years — a stimulating early-care and education experience that nurtures each child's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development, and supports their desire to be life-long learners.

¡Hola! Our preschoolers are getting a fun, playful first taste of a second language — songs, games, colors, and everyday words woven right into the day, at no extra cost. The Learning Tree is an English-speaking program; Spanish is simply added value.

Warm, nurturing care — feeding, naps, tummy time, and lots of cuddles as your baby discovers toes, new foods, and sounds.

The 4s sharpen kindergarten-ready skills — name-writing, phonics, counting, and the confidence to raise a hand and try.

For 5s and up — name writing, letters (sight and sounds), math, science, and reading, with a monthly theme, letter, number, and shape.
Must be potty-trained, wear underwear, and use the bathroom independently.

We proudly accept CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program). A 2-week deposit is required for all families, including those using CCAP. Contact us for enrollment and payment details.

What makes The Learning Tree different from other Minot daycares?
We're family-owned and operated by Kevin and Susan Cross since 2015, with a perfect 5.0 Google rating. We use the Brightwheel app for daily parent communication, maintain a secure entry system, and employ staff trained in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and safe-sleep practices. Our facility at Little Flower even includes a gym for year-round indoor play.
Do you accept CCAP or military child care assistance?
Yes! We accept CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program) funding, and we welcome military families at Minot Air Force Base — Air Force fee assistance can help too. A 2-week deposit is required for all families, including those using CCAP.
How much does daycare cost in Minot?
Tuition ranges from $460 to $510 every two weeks depending on age group, and preschool & kindergarten readiness are included at no additional cost. See our program cards above for each rate.
What ages does The Learning Tree accept?
Children from 6 weeks to 12 years — infant, toddler, Little Learners (3s), Pre-School (4s), and Kindergarten Readiness (5+).

We're open Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 800 University Ave W (Little Flower) in Minot, minutes from Minot Air Force Base. Closed on major holidays — see the Parents page for the full list.
